My children bring so much joy into our house.
I could not imagine life without any one of them.

I am cherishing each moment.
Holding on to each a little longer when I tuck them in.
They are growing all to fast.

I know the Lord wasn't directly talking about my laundry pile, but I think it applies. It isn't always something BIG that overwhelms me. Often it is 10 smaller things, all needing done, while tending to school and small children.

One step at a time, and by His strength, it will get done.

We would be foolish to avoid buying winter coats, long pants, & boots simply because we were too busy enjoying life.

The real question is though;
Are you prepared for His return?
Or are you too busy living for you to worry about living for Him?

Do not deny it, the Lord is coming.

.Laughter.

I love laughter, especially the sweet laughter of a child!

I love to bake cookies.
I love to eat cookies.
Cookies tempt me.
They call out to me from the depths of my freezer in the late afternoon and evening.
(aka during nap time and after the kids are in bed)

I truly believe all things in moderation.
But cookies, man it is hard to eat just one.

Honestly, I have moments where I want to give up.
Life an be hard.
Homeschooling can be hard.
Having a husband who works long hours and owns a business can be hard.
Daily life can be draining.

Living as Christ commands me to live, is not easy.

But guess what...
He didn't say it would be easy.
It's not about me, it's about Him.
My reward is waiting in Heaven.
So I keep pressing on.
I keep focused on Him.

I won't give up!

He took special care with each little detail of your body.

He has a plan for your life.
He wants you to be all He created you to be.

Whether adopted or born into your family, He handpicked your parents and placed you in their arms.
You have value, a purpose a special place in this world.

Lord,
Thank you for the journey you began in our lives 14 years ago when we wanted to start a family. It hasn't been easy, in fact, there were many times I cried, screamed, questioned, and ran angrily away from everyone. But sitting here now, I thank You for each valley & mountain top. You knew.
You knew what our future would hold. You knew how to mold us, prepare us, and nudge us on the path You planned for us.
I would have NEVER been able to dream such a wonderful plan.
Forgive me for questioning.
Thank you for blessing us beyond what we deserve.

God is the inventor of detail.
From the unique hue of each of our eyes, to the disposition He has given us, God has created us for a purpose. He rejoices when we walk with Him and cares about each element of our lives.
For that, I am thankful!

Following 'The Truth' doesn't happen once a child reaches maturity.
It doesn't happen all at once.
Following 'The Truth' begins at day one.
From the first day forward, parents start to plant seeds, water them & slowly they begin to see those seeds grow.
At first growth is small, like learning to fold tiny hands to pray. But gradually over time, growth extends to playing with the child who is different, respecting elders, & personal devotions.

Don't lose sight of the end, but take time to rejoice in each step your little one takes to get there.

Wisdom, to make the right decisions, is difficult.
We can only see a small piece of time.
When we try to do 'it' ourselves, it rarely turns out as 'it' should.
It's like trying to take a clear picture through a waterfall,
.Nearly Impossible.
However, when we seek God, He promises to give
Wisdom
Knowledge &
Understanding
His Truths ring loud.
The blurry picture starts to become clearer.
