5 Facts for Friday

I like learning new things, so every once in a while, on Friday, I am going to throw out what I learned that week. Some are because of my 'Not So Brilliant' moves, others because of reading or out of teaching.
This week I learned...
  1. It takes 40 gallons of Maple Sap to make 1 Gallon of Maple Syrup.
  2. Dish Washing liquid does NOT go in the Dishwasher, it is only for the sink. Using dish washing liquid in a dish washer will cause it to over flow and bubbles+water to spew out all over the floor. Note to self, when buying new dish washing stuff, read the label!!
  3. The Wright Brothers owned a Bicycle Shop and added self oiling hubs and later pedals that didn't come unscrewed before they invented the first Airplane.
  4. Yeast extract is another way to say MSG, stay away from it!
  5. During pregnancy your blood and plasma volume increases by 50-60%
What did you learn this week?
